Germany
"A CAST-IRON BELIEF."
United Press Association.
London, November 1
The correspondent of the newspaper Vaderland accompanying the Germans in Flanders, says that the German officers have a cast-iron belief that Germany is winning, and that the whole of Europe will be subjugated, Belgium will become a province of Prussia, and Poland a kingdom under the House of Hapsburg. A great union of Gorman States will be formed. Alsace and Lorraine will become part of this union, or joined with Baden. The Union will comprise Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Holland, and England, these either being subdued or drawn into the Union.
CERMAN ORDER COMPLIMENTARY TO FRENCH AIRMEN.
Times and Sydney Sun Services. (Recoivod 8 a.m.) London, November 2
German experts say that Germany possesses eighteen million military reservists. The success of the French artillery, which caused such heavy losses, was chiefly attributable to discovering our positions.
