The following notice of the death ef Mrs Black, sister of Mrs Pattison, of .Stratford, appeared in the “Gisborne Times” under date October 21st. It is with deep regret that we have to record the death of Mrs R. G. Black, widow of the late .Robert Greacon Black, of Pakowhai, which occurred at a private hospital in Gisborne yesterday morning. The deceased lady, who was only 27 years of age, Waswidely esteemed throughout the district, and her ultimately death will come as a great shock to her many sincere friends. Mrs Black never recovered from the shock caused by tha death of her husband, who was killed through his horse falling over a precipice while mustering on his station at Pakowhai a few months ago. Mis Black had been in failing health ever since, and though she took a trip to her relatives in Australia recently, the lady returned to Gisborne only slightly improved in health. On Friday last, Mrs Black took seriously ill, anc was removed to a private hospital, where she passed away yesterday morning. A little son is left, and the 'deepest sympathy of the whole community will go out to the orphan and the sorrowing relatives.
