TO-DAY'S RESULTS. United Press Association. Trentham October 24. The Wellington Spring meeting opened in fine though dull weather. The going was very hard. The attendance was large. Results:— Rimutaka Handicap, of 140 sovs; seven furlongs.—Kaminohe 1, Master Achilles 2, Merry Gain 3. Won by half a length, three quarters of a length between second and third. Scratched: George, Garance, Ainsdale. Time lmin 29 1-osec. Hack Hunters' Steeplechase, of 140 sovs; 2.1 miles.—The Pole 1, Waiwetu 2, Taurangi 3. The winner was practically in charge throughout and won fairly easily. Tyrannic, Makiri, and Blend fell. Scratched: Plumer and Sir Manser. Time smin 34 l-ssec. Spring Selling PlatCj of 100 sovs; six furlongs.—Mowbray 1, Charlerose 2, Anguish 3. Scratched: Grandee, Rongora, Turna. Won by half a length two lengths between second and third. Time, lmin 16 l-ssec. Wellington Handicap of 400 sovs; six furlongs.—Sir Knox 1, Ringform 2, Portraiture 3. Scratched : Undecided, Bleriot, George. Won by H lengths two lengths between second and third. Sir Knox led throughout, and won handsomely. Haskayne, Moutoa Girl, and Maniaroa were unruly, and were left in a straggling start.
