GERMANY'S AMBITIONS. INFORMATION TO MAKE PEOPLE'S HAIR STAND ON END. United Press Association. Capetown, October 1. General Botha states that he had information about Germany's ambitions in South Africa which would make the people's hair stand on end. The Kaiser desired to place the surplus German population, and regarded South Africa as a suitable place. UNITED SOUTH AFRICA. THE GERMAN TORTOISE COMES OUT OF ITS SHELL. i . General Botha, addressing a meeting on the Rand, was wildly cheered when he declared that the German tortoise had stuck his head too far out of his shell, and United South Africa would help to tread upon it.
