The fighting 'in Galicia continues fiercely. The Hungarians were dislodged from three positions at Ujokhill, and retired in disorder. The pursuit continues. INVASION OF HUNGARY. DISPOSITION OF GERMAN ARMY CORPS.
THE KAISER IN EAST PRUSSIA.
(Received 9.10 a.m.) Petrograd, September 28
There are twenty-two German army corps on the Russian frontier. They include a majority of tho field corps. Eighteen army corps remain on tho French-Belgian theatre, of which many are reserve corps.
The Kaiser is personally commanding in East Prussia.
Official.—The German losses at Sopotokini were heavy. Their retreat towards Suwalki is becoming general. German activity on the banks of the Memel only covered a. front of sixteen miles. This, coupled '• with the speed of the movement, suggests it is only a demonstration to cover an action on the more vulnerable Kalisz-Cracow litfe.'■•'■Any invasion of Russia in this direction will weaken the Germans at Breslau..

A Russian officer, in an interview, said: "There are about 600,000 Russians in "East Prussia. The forward movement was accompanied by singing. The Germans were distressed by tho songs t-ofrtthG asnflhey fight. The Germans are as brave as us, and stick to it to the last. We have fixed a tariff for shooting from the windows in the towns. On the first shot we blow up the house, and on the second shot in the same street we blow up the street. The Germans are straining every nerve to defeat us. Everyone capable of holding a gun is being pressed into service. We know that by the dead on the battlefield, as they include men in civilian attire, sailors from the warships, children of fifteen years, old men past the fighting age, and an occasional woman."
THE KEY TO GALICIA.

An Austrian officer sold to Russia the plans of Przemysl a few months ago. The Austrian militarists have always considered that Galicia jvould he lost when Lemberg and Przemysl were captured.
