BOTHA'S POPULARITY.
REMARKABLE OUTBURSTS OF LOYALTY TO EMPIRE.
(Received 9.10 a.m.) Pretoria, September 28
At a mooting in support of General Botha's action, the Bishop of Pretoria introduced a Belgian escort ■bringing German prisoners from the Congo. Their appearance was greeted with wild enthusiasm. The enthusiasm for General Botha is unabated, tho English and Dutch mutually vying in assuring the Government of their unqualified support. Even in Pretersberg and the Outspansberg districts where General Beyers was popular, hundreds of Boors volunteered. Only one of two meetings at Hertzogite ceiu tres in Orangia supported Beyers' attitude.
