EXPORTATION OF FOODSTUFFS FROM UNITED KINGDOM.

Mr Wickham, British Trade Cora, raissioner, has received the following from the Board of Trade: The prohibi, tion of exportation of foodstuffs from the United Kingdom was withdrawn on August 28th as regards British Dominions, but from September 11th the exportation of sugar, refined and unrefined, also molasses and similar goods, is prohibited. K The High Commissioner reports under date London, September 17tli, ti.4o p.m.:— Official: Lord Kitchener, in the House of Lords, said: “We have good ground for quiet confidence, but the struggle is bound to be long. , We have in the field rather more than six divisions of troops, and two cavalry divisions.
