GERMANS SUFFER HEAVILY FROM OUR ARTILLERY.

(Received 9.50 a.m.) Paris, September 10.

During the German retreat in tho Manic valley on Tuesday the French and British cavalry smashed a German patrol. The horse artillery was directed by aeroplane and hammered the enemy appallingly with the new thirteen pounders from a screen of hewn trees. The artillery fire demolished the Germans.
