WIN FOR THE FRENCHMAN.
London, September 4
A French airman, whose thin, polished, wooden planes, armored below, was sighted by a German airscout at Chantilly at a great height, soared and raced, and when abreast opened lire over the Conipiegne Forest. The German machine was seen to stagger, droop limply, and fall on to the tree>tops.
PREVENTING ATTACK ON PARIS,
Loudon, September 4
A communique on Thursday at midnight says that since yesterday the Allies had not been in contact with the enemy reported in the Conipiegne and Senlis region. Measures had been taken, by means of heavily-armed French aeroplanes cruising over Pans, to prevent further aeroplane attacks. BOMBS DROPPED AT BELFORT. Paris, September 3. A German aeroplane dropped several bombs at Belfort, without damage^ BOMBS CONTAIN SPECIAL WOUNDING BULLETS.
Times and Sydney Sun Services. (Received 8 a.m.) , London, September 4. German aeroplanes are throwing bombs which are said to be filled with special bullets capable of inflicting terrible wounds. ~
