THE GERMANS EXPECT TO WIN.
London, August 23
An American who has returned from Germany was profoundly impressed with the thoroughness of the preparations for every contingency. The morale of the people is inspiring. They expect to win. THE KAISER AND COD. Berlin, August 23. The Kaiser has ordered the Evangelical Church to include in the Liturgy at all public services throughout the war a prayer asking God to bless the entire German War Office, lead them to victory, and “to give us grace to show ourselves Christian# towards our enemies!”
