Tho amendments made in the Harbors Bill by the Legislative Council were agreed to. , Hon. A. L. Herd man moved ihe second reading of the Trustees Amendment Bill, validating the payment by trustees of trust funds into builling societies, savings banks, municipal corporations, investments, iv.'.'l pubHe companies while a state of war exists in New Zealand, and for oix months thereafter. Sir' Joseph Ward said he believed the Bill was necessary in the present crisis and as a matter of urgency was passed through all its stages without amendment. The Premier announced that he did 'iot intend to ask tho House to go on with oilier business, and at 5.45 he moved that tho House adjourn until Wednesday, 2Gth inst., at 7.30 p.m.
