AVIATORS BROUGHT DOWN BY ARTILLERY. (Received 9.15 a.m.) Brussels, August 14. It has been announced that artillery brought down three German aeroplanes which were Hying over Diest. Two of the aviators were killed and the third terribly injured. GERMAN AIRSHIP RECONNOITRING OVER NORTH SEA. (Received 9.15 a.m.) Amsterdam, August 14. A German airship was sighted going east over the North Sea. PRESS BUREAU MESSAGES. BELGIANS SURPRISE GERMANS AND CLEAR THEM OUT. (Received 11.35. a.m.) London, August 14. The Press Bureau states that tha French still hold the Bonhomme and Saint Marie passes. They have alio occupied the Sale Pass, commanding the Bruche valley. There were, numerous German desertions at Sale. Many prisoners and some machine guns were captured. A mixed detachment of Belgians today surprised the German cavalry regiments encamped between Namur and Eghezee and forced them eastwards. They captured numerous prisoners and machine guns. There are no German cavalry now between Hasselt and Ramillies. ,
