Owing to'an unfortunate disarrangement of the slips of the telegraphic report of Tuesday's debate on the Liquor Bill, the Hon. Herdman's remarks were attributed to Or. Newman, thus conveying a wrong impression of the latter's repeatedly announced views on the subject. As a matter of fact, Dr. Newman declared that ho and other friends of the Bill had decided not to take part in the debate.
