A KITCHEN GIRL’S DEATH. TRAGEDY ON N.S.W. STATION. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] Sydney, July 15. I A mysterious tragedy occurred at Mcßeau’s station near Yass. j A young woman employee, Gertie Malister, was found shot dead in the kitchen. SHOT FROM BEHIND. MUST HAVE BEEN MURDERED. | (Received 9.50 a.m.) Sydney, July 16. At the inquest on Gertie Malister, the father gave evidence that his daughter had no lovers, and no enemies. Mcßean stated that he saw the deceased alive at G. 30. At 8.30 he heard two gunshots and rushed to the kitchen where he found the girl lying on the floor lifeless. The doctor’s opinion is that the shots were fired from the hack, and it is impossible they were self-inflict-ed. It is believed the girl was murdered. There are no clues, and the inquest has been adjourned.
