A WEE SCOTCH NICHT.

The local Scottish Society held a very enjoyable social iif the Foresters' Hall on Thursday night, the vocal part of the programme being contributed to by the following ladies and gentlemen: Miss Irvine, Miss Rising and Miss Sangster. Miss Rogers played violin solos and Miss Amy Rogers played the accompaniments. Mr Reader, who is new to Stratford, pelased his audience greatly with his songs. Mr Blackstock gave "The Laird of Cockpen" in fine style, and Mr Davis tilled the comic portion to everybody's satisfaction. The dance which followed the concert was in character mostly Seoth, the bagpipes ebing strongly in evidence, and step dances were given by the Messrs Wade. The dancers continued in great spirit into the "we sma' oor« a.yont the twal." Mr John Paul, as M.C., was the right man in the right place. The Society's own orchestra contributed the music for the dancers, the performers being Mrs MeNeely (piano), Mr Cameron (violin), Mr Parker (cornet), and Mr Davis (clarinet).
