In tho vestibule of Mr J. McAllister's premises iti Broadway there is on view the framed photograph group presented last night to Mr J. W. Boon. Mr Boon's photograph occupies a central position and at the top is a photograph of the Methodist Sunday School. The largo number of twenty-four officers and teachers of the

school had to be included, but this J was managed by Mr McAllister in a manner which creates a fine artistic effect. At "Mountain View," Normanby, yesterday, an unreserved sale of purebred grade dairy cows, and pedigree Jersey bulls was conducted by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., and Mr Newton King, on behalf of Mr R. J. Linn. The stock offered was of exceptional quality, and the reason for it being disposed of was that Mr Linn has decided in future to keep only pedigree stock. The offering consisted of 82 dairy cows, 21 grade heifers, four pedigree Jersey bulls, and five pedigree yearling bulls. The dairy cows made excellent prices, the average per head realised being £l4 3s 6d. Some of the higher prices received for tho cows were: "Minnie" £3l, "Polly" £3O 10s, "Luxton" £3O, "Dandy" £24, "Jackson" £23, "Buelah" £22 10s. "Shingle" £22, and "Daisy" £22.. The other cows ranged up to this limit.
