OORANGE BLOSSOMS. DYSCN—KING. At Holy Trinity Church yesterday I the marriage took place of Mr Stanlley Wilson "Dyson and Miss Ella King, [the Rev. C. W. Howard, assisted by the Rev. E. L. Harvie, performing the ceremony. The bride, wft© «-as dressed in silk charmeuse wick shadow laoe* and who wore the orthodox bridal veil, was given away ! >y her father, her bridesmaid being Miss Hilda Wilson, who look*! well in a white silk gown, with picture hat, Mr JBuchler acted as best man. The bridal party left the church under an arch of flowered wands held by girl pupils of the Stratford school, the effect being very pretty. After the [ceremony about eighty friends of the happy couple attended the wedding breakfast held in the Foresters' Hall, where a sumptuous repast was provided by Mrs Brooking in her usual line style. The bride and bridegroom left later by motor for Hawera, en route to Wanganui, where the honeymoon is to be spent. Herri Mauser, the inventor of the rifle of that name, is dead. Mr Robert Spence, in private correspondence from Colombo, states thai he is having a very good passage and enjoying his trip very much. Mr William McKeown, recently manager of the Te Roti factory of the Eltham Hairy Company, has been appointed manager of the Featherston Dairy Company's factory. Rev. P. W. Clarkson, who has been appointed organiser to the Bible in State Schools League, has resigned his position as Anglican vicar at Taihape. The Rev. W. F. Stent, who has been appointed to take charge, will leave Manaia about July. Captain Attwood, formerly of the Elingamito, who has for several years occupied the position of shore superintendent at Wellington for the Westport Coal Company, intends to go into business on his own account as a surveyor of ships at Wellington. Mr L. B. Mace, of the Bank o: Australasia staff, was taken seriously ill at the end of last week and was operated on for appendicitis, but he is now progressing favorably. Mr Mahoney, of the Bank of Australasia's Hawera branch, is relieving Mr Mace as teller at the Stratford branch, during the latter's illnese.
