Sazonoff (Minister of Foreign Affairs), referring in the Duma to reports regarding the transformation of the Entente into an Alliance, declared that the present bonds fully satisfied the common ends of the three Powers. 'Members of the Entente were always ready to co-operate with the members of the Alliance with the object to maintain peace. M. Sazonoff said he regretted the recent j Russo-German press conflict.
