BUILDING SWEDEN'S NAVY
LEVYING THE WEALTHY CLASSES \\'m EIIOTMO TILBGBAPH—UoPTBIGHI] [United Pbbhh Amooiation.] (Received 10.45 a.m.) Stockholm, May 24. The new naval programme includes the building of eight battleships. The Defence Bill provides for a special levy on the wealthy classes which is expected to realise £320,000, to assist defence.
