TARANAKI WOOL, SKIN, HIDE AND TALLOW SALES. MR XKWTOX KING’S REPORT. ‘ On Tuesday, oth May, I held my usual four-weekly sale of above produce, the catalogue comprising 21 bales and 77 sacks wool, 2004 sheepskins, 21 casks, 1 drum, and 20 tins tallow, 480 | hides, and 06 calfskins, besides the j usual assortment of heir, tails, etc.* j There was a good attendance of buy- ; ers. competition being well maintain- ; ed throughout the offering. | Wool.—.At par with late rates. I Sheepskins.—Very firm at late rates. \ Hides.—ln sympathy with the de- i dine at other centres, these showed j a sharp drop.
