ALLEGED BREACH OF BANKRUPTCY ACT. [p.HB Pftwsc Ahxoci.tiovl Auckland, May 11. In the case against Alfred Trcvail Robinson, arrested in Sydney and brought to Auckland to answer a clm-ge of committing a breach of the Bankruptcy Act, the Crown Prosecutor stated that the accountant employed by' the Official Assignee, after going through bankrupt’s books, reported that the charge could not be supported by evidence. As things wm> when bankrupt left for Sydney the Official Assignee was perfectly jus- • I tied m having him brought back, but when they were thoroughly investigated and an explanation obtained from bankrupt it was found that the business was not insolvent. It was fur ther ascertained that bankrupt was nor the owner of the business, as another person wiio had appeared as a creditor really had a greater interest in the business than Robinson. He asked that the charge be withdrawn, which the Court agreed to.
