THE NEW PLYMOUTH WINTER SHOW.

Tho Taranaki Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Society, which is incorporated with the Agricultural Society, is holding its annual exhibition in conjunction with the Winter Show. Tho North Island Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association hare donated I championships as follows: —Pigeons: Magpie, £1 Is; tumbler, £1 Is; owls and turbits,' £1 Is; homer, £3 3s, and dragodn £1 Is. Present indications are that all previous records will be beaten, especially as many of the most successful breeders and exhibitors from outside have signified their intention .of sending along best birds. In addition to cash specials, tho Society itself is giving gold medals for the best bird exhibited in several of the sections. Entries for this section close on May SOth with the secretary at 9 p.m., but intending exhibitors are asked to forward entries before this date, if possible, in order to facilitate the secretarial work,
