Playing at St. George's Hill, Weybridge, Vardon and Ray (150) defeated Duncan and Abe Mitchell (155). FOOTBALL. NEW ZEALAND RUGBY UNION. Wellington, April 29. The annual report of the New Zealand Rugby Union Management Committee, after referring to the results of the "All Blacks'" visit to America, and of the Australians to New Zealand, reviews the interprovincial matches, and states that £2OO | was distributed last season to the affiliated unions for the encouragement of Rugby in the primary schools. An invitation had been extended to the South Africans to visit New Zea- | land, but this was not possible this year. The balance-sheet shows a credit balance of £3ll, but against this must be set the expenses of the New Zealand team during the current sea- i son. I The following amounts are now on loan to affiliated unions:—Hawke's ; Bay, £845; Wanganui, £500; Tara- I nnki, £225,-..Wellington, £1050; Southland, £2150; Otago, £950. Arrange- | merits have been made to increase the Otago advance by £3OO for ground improvements.
