In the House of Commons, Mr Keir Hardie asked whether, in view of the beneficial results of the Royal visit to Paris, the Cabinet would advise His Majesty to visit Berlin and strengthen the growing feeling of friendship between the British, and German peoples. Mr Acland (Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs) replied that the King had visited Berlin in impossible to pay further State visits abroad during 1914.
