DOMINION POLITICS.

THE TAUMARUNUI SEAT. (Special to "Post,") Taumarunui, April 29. Messrs Smith, Witty and Jennings addressed a largely-attended and enthusiastic meeting at Ohura on Monday night, this being one of the extreme backblocks places. The speakers had ridden 30 miles and had an unpleasant journey, the recent heavy rains making the roads in places impassable. It was an object lesson to Kiccarton's M.P. At Taumarunui last night the speakers addressed a large gathering in the Theatre Royal. The Mayor, Mr Wackrow, presided. The meeting was enthusiastic, and at the conclusion of both the Ohaura and Tau. marunui meetings votes of thanks and of confidence in the Liberal Party were passed with enthusiasm.
