The death of Mr W. B. Harvey, Labor member., for Derbyshire, N.E., in the House of Commons, at the age of 62, i 3 announced from London by the Press Association.

Lord Rosebery acted as witness at the wedding of Mr Danny Maher to Miss Dora Fraser at St. George's, Hanover Square, states a Times-Sydney Sun Cablegram. Maher, who in the 1913 season was the most successful jockey in England, rides for Lord Rosebery. •

Mr P. R. Stewart, for some years accountant at the North Dunedin branch of the National Bank of New Zealand, is to succeed. Mr Chinchen at Stratford. Mr Chinchen leaves for Auckland next week.
