CONFERENCE WITH FRANCE. ("By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Arbociation'.] • (Received 9.0 a.m.) London, April 16. Sir Edward Grey (Foreign Secretary), in reply to Dr. Chappie, M.P. for Stirlingshire, said he hoped the New Hebrides conference with Franco would meet shortly. The Australian and New Zealand Governments would not bo invited, but they could rest assured they would bo informed before any now arrangements were entered into.
