NEW LABOR FEDERATION.

OUTCOME OF N.Z. STRIKE. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [U ilted Press association.! (Received 9.0 a.m.) Sydney, April 6. The conference of representatives of the allied unions which acted as an executive, decided to make the standing committee of the strike period a permanent federation to create machinery for united action by organised labor, which will cover 150,000 unionists, who will refrain from a strike without first consulting all bodies.

Committees were appointed to draft rules.

Mr W. M. Hughes, chairman, presented an address, thanking the unions for their services during the New Zealand strike. He stated that the federation was the direct outcome of the New Zealand strike.
