ADVICE 70 LIBERALS. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 9.40 a.m.) Melbourne, March 11. The Premier (Mr Cook), speaking at the tenth anniversary meeting of the Women’s National League, said the Liberal Party of Australia would he in need of a league very soon. He was not concerned with the next ten years of the League’s existence, but he was concerned with the next ten months. The present Parliament was not likely to last long, and the Liberals must wake up. Their motto for the next ten months should be: “Get to business, and get to business at once.” The immediate business of Liberalism was to convince the people of the country that it was better than la-

THE N.S.W. PARLIAMENT. (Received 10.45 a.m.) Sydney, March 11. In the debate on the Address-in-Reply the Government was severely criticised for not enforcing the industrial law in connection with the meat strike. Mr Hall (Minister of Justice) replied that the Government had never given a promise to the men not to prosecute if they returned to work. If information had been available prosecutions would have followed. Mr Hall stated that the Government bakery, which produced 16,500 loaves in the first week, cost £20.000. No private baker could attain the same result. The Address was adopted.
