Mr Bryan, United States Secretary of State, has informed the Foreign Affairs’ Committee that it is inadvisable to precipitate a Mexican discussion, as Britain and other Powers supported the United States’ policy of reparation. Mr Bryan insists that there must ho punishment of those who are guilty of causing foreigners losses. Ho added that he had confidence in the investigation ordered by Carranza. Representative Ainey demanded full information, deprecating the suggestion that the truth was likely to inflame the American people to demand war while they universally desired
