FAILURE OF A BANK.
THE PRESIDENT ARRESTED. [By Electric Telegraph—-Copyright] Times—Sydney Sun Special Cables. (Received 8 a.m.) Now York, February 10. The Mercantile Bank at Memphis lias closed its doors, the deficit being £IOO,OOO. It is alleged the president misappropriated funds and lost in his speculations. He was arrested on a '■barge of embezzlement.
