Berlin, January 30.

An explosion of fire-damp occurred at the Achenbach colliery, Westphalia. Six men are known to have been killed and several injured.

Eighty men are still entombed in the works.

Twenty-two dead bodies have been recovered, also seventeen of the injured, of whom ten are in a grievous condition.
