UNITED FRIENDLY SOCIETIES HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION.

The United Friendly Societies Hospital Association met in Stratford yesterday in the .Foresters' Hall, when there were present: Messrs 0. Spnrdle (Inglewood); J. Brabant. (Waitara), vice-president ; Taylor (Hawera), Henderson (Inglewood), Gilbert (New Plymouth), Kivell (Stratford), and Amoore (Eltham), secretary. A return was presented showing; that for the past three months benefits to the extent of £360 lGs Gd had been paid out, one hospital receiving £250 15s (id. The Society now numbers just on three thousand members. Accounts amounting to £SO were passed for payment, leaving a small credit balance, with a quarter's dues to come. The meeting passed a resolution of condolence with the relatives of the late Bro. Gilbert, a member of the Moturoa Druids' Lodge, who was one of the pioneers of the Society.
