TIMBER STEAMER ASHORE.
IN DANGEROUS POSITION. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright! [United Press Association.] (Received 10.50 a.m.) Adelaide, January 3. The steamer Out- Elsie, outward bound with timber for Sydney, is ashore at ttie southern end of the breakwater. Her position is dangerous. The passengers and crew were landed safely with a line.
LOSS OF BARQUE TRITON.
CREW ARRIVE IN WELLINGTON.
[Per Press Association.] Wellington, January 3,
News has been received that the iron barque Triton, 700 tons, was wrecked on a reef off Raratonga, on the Sunday before Xmas. The crew were all landed, and subsequently 'mined the Moana, and came on to 'Wellington.
