THE MAYFIELD MURDERER
THE HANGING OF BIODLE.
[Per Press 'Association.] Christchurch, December 13
Biddle was hanged at 8 o'clock this morning at Lyttelton gaol. He was very weak, and was supported to the scaffold by two warders. The usual authorised persons were present, including press representatives. Biddle said: "I thank the Lord Jesus as my Saviour." The hangman did his work quickly, and death was instantaneous.
