THE N.S.W. ELECTION.
THE LATEST RETURNS.
POSITION LITTLE ALTERED. [By Electric Tllegraph— Copyright] [United Press Association.] Sydney, December 8.
It is now possible to state that the Labor Party lias won or practically won 25 seats, the Liberals ;52, and the Independents one. This leaves eight seats in doubt on the first ballot, and 14 requiring a second ballot. Of 22 seats which are doubtful, the Liberals are leading in ir-l and the Labor Party in eight. The postal votes have still to be counted, though many are in. Several contests are so close that the "absent" vote, though small, is likely to prove the deciding factor.
