The Agents-General are making exhaustive ■mupimrii into every ‘branch of the butter-handling businessthrough the Port of London authority the railways and Tooley Street. Tin president of the Wholesale Grocers’ Association states that widely divergent views are expressed and the dir ferent suggestions are bewildering tc the committee, though it obtained i mass of information beneficial to but tor exporters. The committee, expects to be finished in a fortnight. It did not elicit direct evidence of any ring controlling the prices, which a remounting up.
