THROWN FROM A HORSE.

[Pee Press Association. I Marion, December.2. An elderly man, William Smith, a resident of Bulls for 3o years, was killed instantaneously to-day. He was giving a lad a ride behind him while returning home from the Marton stock sales, and the horse, objecting to the double burden, threw Smith. He fell on his forehead, and was killed instantaneously. He leaves a widow and eight children, all grown up. FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT. Wanganui, December 2. A young man named" Reginald C. Faber, aged 18, met with a fatal accident yesterday while riding a motorbicycle. He collided with a dray and sustained a fractured larynx. Faber was a well-known athlete and an exstudent of the Collegiate School. He represented Wanganui in Rugby foothall, cricket and hockey, and "was a prominent oarsman.
