It having been reported that a general 'rise in prices of nil merchandise was (being projected, THE MELBOURNE LOTH IXC CO., Ltd., beg to announce Mint it will be no party to such a scheme, and will not in any way attempt to take advantage of the unfortunate strike to secure greater profits. On the contrary, realising the many hardships occasioned by the strike, the management has decided to suffer the loss of increased freight charges rather than ask the people to pay the extra cost, a charge by the way, to which we would be legitimately entitled.
