n HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. [Per Press Association. 1 t ; 'r _ /*, Wellington, November 17. Following are extracts from the High Commissioner’s cable, dated London, November loth:—
Butter.—The market is quiet, but there is no alteration in prices for Siberian, Argentine, and Australian. The supply exceeds the demand for unsalted. Danish 129 s to 131 s, New Zealand 124 s to 1265.
Cheese. —There is no alteration in the market since last week. Canadian (white and colored) 65s to 665, New Zealand white and colored) 63a to 645, English cheddar 80s to 84s, Dutch (white or colored) 61s to 635.
Wool.—Current Bradford quotations for tops: 36’s low crossbreds lold, 40’s low crossbreds lojd, 4o’s medium 16d, 50’s half breeds 19d, 56 s quarter breds 22d, 60’s merinos 27id. The market is quiet with a tendency in favor of buyers. The outlook for the next series is a little obscure, but it is not anticipated that the price will show much change.
