One hundred and thirty political prisoners have been removed to tJie Linceiro prison. a frontier fortress. A TERRIBLE FATE. Paris, October 21. A story is current that a peasant was driving a straw-filled cart from the Spanish to the Portuguese frontier, when a Customs officer thrust his sword several times through tin straw. After telling the driver tc. proceed lie noticed blooa crickling out of the cart. The driver sprang U the ground and fled. The officialfound amongst the straw the body o! a Royalist leader, with his hear! pierced by the Customs officer'' sword. The Royalist had been trying to escape.
