Roosevelt got the vei'dict by a short head from Gold Crest, Byron being close up in third position. Time, Imin 49 2-ssec. Durie Hack Handicap, of 120.50 vs; one mile and HO yards.—Kooya 1, Draft 2, Styrax 3. Won by a long neck, Styrax being about five lengtb.s away. Time, Imin 15 l-sscc.

Beragoon, canying less than Derby weight, beat Empera!or over 10 furlongs in 2min lOsec. by our lengths, finishing exceptionally veil, which is a record Derby trial, ligandra ran seven furlongs in Imin ;9sec, equalling the record. Hallowmas run, nine furlongs in Imin 564 sec, i record. Soltano, ridden by Maning, went' nicely over ten furlongs, seating Prince Flavino in 2min 16sec. foltano eased after jumping off to allow his companion to get level, othervise be would have made much faster dine. Andelosia beat Sheriffmuia by diree lengths over a circle of the ourse in 2min 20sec.
