0 AN AGRICULTURAL POLICY. [Lv Electric Tblkgbaph— CoPYltlGUT] [United Press Association.] London, September 17. Prominent Unionists iiave issued a pamphlet formulating an agricultural policy. It advocates the application of the Trade Boards Act to low-waged districts, the adoption of the colony system of co-operation for small holders, provision tor land near villages for deserving inhabitants, grants to local authorities for rural cottages, and a more economical system of marketing. It is estimated that intensive cultivation will employ an extra half million people. (Received 9.20 a.m.) London, September 17.
The names of the authors of the Unionists’ agricultural policy are unofficial. A committee was nominated two years ago with Mr Balfour’s approval.
