STRUCK BY A LIFT. [Per Press Association.] Wellington, September 13. W. H. Shift, one of the salesmen ii the carpet department of Kirkcaldir and Stains, sustained a serious injur; at the firm’s warehouse this morning He was looking down the goods lift well with his head over the grill speak ing to a. storeman on the floor below when the lift came down from the up per floor and struck him on the hack of his skull. He was removed to the hospital in a critical condition.
