The Labor leaders wisely quote Carson to show how free speech is allowed by the Homo authorities. September 7. Several thousand people- were present at a Labor meeting in the Market Sen a re. The speakers unanimously denounced the suppression of free speech and recommended a general strike in the event of any conviction in connection with the strike precautions. • The speakers described the CahinW as a “dirty, stinking and gigantic seal) agency,” and declared that Lord Gladstone, the troops and the polio" ought to he thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
