SCHOOL CHILDREN’S DAY. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] Durban, September 2. To-day was school children’s day. Besides the local children over a thousand children from the country visited the Australia. Quite noticeable was the large attendance of Dutch children from the extreme north of Natal. One party from Paid Pietershurg trekked thirty miles to the railway and then travelled 250 miles by train.

ENTERTAINING OFFICERS AND CREW.

(Received 8.5 a.m.) Durban, September 2. The Corporation gave a luncheon to the Australia’s crew.

The Acting-Administrator, on behalf of the Government, entertained the officers. It was a representative gathering.
