A MAORI’S SUICIDE. [Pee Press Association.] Auckland, September 2 A native named Henri Tauti, aged ■jO, committed suicide at Coromandel to-day. He hanged himself on a tree. He was the owner of a flock of sheep and also possessed other property. FOUND DROWNED. Auckland, September 2.

The body of William Brown, who loft Whangapona (Coromandel), in a launch with S. W. P. Peddle laste month, has been found on the Matarangi beach. So far there has been no trace found of the body' of Peddle. The wreckage from the launch has boon picked up in various places.

KILLED BY A TRUCK. Invercargill, September^2. A fatal accident occurred ‘at the’ Bluff to-day, resulting in the death of .1. W. King, aged 50, a stevedore for the Kew Zealand Shipping Company. A truck was being shunted into the Company’s siding and deceased attempted to apply the brakes. He slipped and was dragged along by tho axle-box, sustaining a compound fracture of the right leg and a fracture of the left leg. King was removed to the Southland Hospital, where he died some hours later. He leaves a widow and a family of six.
