AMUSEMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY’S PICTURES. The current programme of pictures at His Majesty’s Theatre will bo presented for the last time to-night. To ail who h ave a taste for strong and lurid melodrama, full of violent sensations, hut decked out with all the elaboration of a West End Society play, the striking film “The Hidden Message,” which forms the star item, in Thursday’s programme, will make, an instant appeal. It is not a problem play, there is no pretence of subtle character drawing, no abstract psychology, nothing to offend—or even to interest—the infant mind; but by that large clas of picture lovers, who read with avidity, and who still place the mimes of Miss Braddon and Mrs Henry Wood in a foremost position on the scroll of literary fame, it will be appreciated. The remainder of the programme is of great variety. “White Gazelle’s Error” being an Indian cowboy romance of daring; latest Gaument'Gazette, ‘Coney Island.” .and gorgeous scenics. . . There are six entries for Friday’s amateur comic recitation trials, including one lady performer.
