JSompany, states a Sydney cablegram, j The death is reported by a Press Association telegram from Levin of the Rev. William Tinsley, in charge of the Levin circuit of tho Methodist, ■ Church. He had been indisposed for 1 ; two months from heart disease, but ■ * a fatal termination was not expected, c He had been in the Ministry for forty- | ? years, and was well-known throughout both Islands. The death is reported from Paris of M. Olliver Emile Olliver, the French statesman. Ho was born in 1825 at Marseilles. Ho practised at the bar, served in the Legislative Assembly, and in 1860 was chosen to represent tho Egyptian Government in tiie negotiations on the Suez Canal question. As the virtual head of the Ministry of 1870, ho sought at first to preserve peace, but changed his vieus and carried tho nation into war whose : first disasters brought about Ids own fall. He lias also published several •works. M. Ollivior ws a member of tho Academic Franchise since 1870.
