ON THE RAND. [By Electric Telegraph —Copyright] [United Press Association.] Johannesburg, August 10. The Trades Federation has decided not to participate in the formation of a commission to inquire into the miners’ and industrial workers’ grievances. The railwaymen will have a separate commission.
THE N.S.W. COLLIERIES. (Received 8.10 a.m.) Sydney, August IE : The Northern Colliery proprietors declined to assist in the formation of at Board of Conciliation to deal with the Pelaw Main mine trouble. Mr McGowen referred to the matter before the Wages Board as urgent. The position of the northern mines is again causing anxiety.
